When you register to attend an event, enquire about hosting one, or contact us, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, city, sector interest, investor category, and any message you send us.
Where we identify a business contact from publicly available sources - such as ASX announcements, a company’s website, or LinkedIn - in order to invite that person or their company to an event, we collect and use their name, business email, job title and company as published. This approach is consistent with the implied consent provisions of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), which permit contact where a business electronic address has been conspicuously published without any accompanying statement declining unsolicited contact, and where the message is relevant to the recipient’s business, role, or professional duties. We only use these details for professional/investor-relations outreach relevant to the recipient’s role, and not for any other purpose. Recipients can ask to be removed from any future contact at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or contacting us via our contact page; we will action removal within 5 business days.
We use your information to match you with relevant investor events by sector and city, to communicate with you about invitations and enquiries, and to improve our service. We do not sell your personal information.
The companies or IR firms hosting an event you attend may see limited information about you, such as your name and investor category on the attendee list on the day. We do not give them your email address, phone number, or other contact details without your consent - if a hosting company would like to stay in touch, we can send a follow-up email on its behalf, and it is up to you whether to opt in. We also share information with service providers who help us operate 708 Investor Lunches™ (such as email delivery and form processing providers), under obligations to protect your data.
If an event you attend is photographed, filmed, or recorded, we may collect your image, voice, and likeness as captured in that recording. As set out in our Terms of Use, by attending an event you consent to 708 Investor Lunches™ and the hosting company using and publishing this recording, including on our website, in marketing materials, and on social media.
Some of our service providers, such as our website hosting, database, and email delivery providers, may store or process your information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We retain your information for as long as it is needed to provide our service, or until you ask us to delete it.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
You may unsubscribe from email invitations at any time, and you may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us.
